How we price our work
Every fee is fixed, scoped in writing, and confirmed before work begins. Clear terms with no surprise invoices.

Fixed fees
We quote a fixed fee for every piece of work.
You know the cost before you commit.
Confirmed in writing
Every engagement begins with a letter of engagement that sets out the scope and the fee.
No work starts until you have agreed.
Scoped to your situation
Fees reflect the complexity of your circumstances — not a one-size-fits-all price list.
Each service page has an estimator that shows your indicative fee range immediately.
How our engagements work
Most of our work follows a three-phase structure, which broadly follows the natural lifecycle progression of your journey building personal wealth.
Enter the journey at the stage appropriate to you and only proceed to the next phase if you choose to.
Review
We analyse your current position and produce a written report with specific recommendations and projected outcomes.
This is a discovery exercise ascertaining your strategic tax position and describing potential plans.
Implementation
If you wish to proceed with implementation, we quote separately for that work — restructuring, elections, filings, and transactions.
Ongoing advisory
For clients who want continued support, we offer annual reviews and ongoing planning to keep arrangements aligned with current legislation.
Talking to us
Quick conversations are free, across the whole relationship - whether you're a prospect, a current client, or someone we worked with two years ago. We'd rather you picked up the phone than sat on a question.
Picking a relationship back up - resuming something we'd paused, or starting something new - is itself a scoped piece of work, and we'll quote it before we begin. The conversation that gets you there is still free.
The rule we apply
If we can answer it on the phone in a few minutes without preparation, it's a free conversation. If it needs research, calculations, modelling, written advice, or correspondence with HMRC, your solicitor, or your lender, it becomes a separate fixed-fee engagement, quoted before any work starts.
A few examples
| A free phone call | A quoted engagement |
|---|---|
| "Is there VAT on this?" | "Can you compute the VAT recovery on our partial-exemption position?" |
| "Remind me what the BADR holding period is." | "Can you assess whether my shareholding qualifies for BADR?" |
| "Should I worry about this HMRC letter?" | "Can you respond to HMRC on my behalf?" |
The dividing line is whether we need to put the phone down and look at something. If the answer is yes, we'll tell you, and we'll quote a fixed fee for the piece of work before starting it.
If a quick question turns into a sustained conversation, we'll let you know and offer to scope it as a piece of work - that way you stay in control of what's chargeable and what isn't.
For ongoing advisory clients
Your annual fee covers the listed deliverables - but the real value is simpler than that. We already know your situation, so conversations are faster and more useful from the first word. When something changes in the tax landscape that touches your position, we'll let you know without waiting to be asked. And when something does need scoping as a piece of work, it moves quickly because the groundwork is already done.
Fee ranges
Review fees are fixed and confirmed before work begins. Implementation and ongoing fees are indicative until the review price is mutually agreed.
Common pricing questions
All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT at the standard rate (20%). We confirm the final fee in writing in our engagement letter before any work begins.
Not sure where to start?
A short call is usually the quickest way to clarify. We will tell you honestly where you sit, what it will cost, and whether we are the right practice for you.
